During the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings initiated in the cybercrimes and high-tech crimes department of the RA Investigative Committee's main department for the investigation of particularly important cases, it appears that factual data was obtained regarding the person's computer fraud and money laundering.
In particular, in the period from June 24, 2021 to November 15, 2022, M.A. obtained illegal access to the accounts registered in the gaming and settlement organization registered on various websites and stole the total amount of 3 million 398 thousand 350 AMD in the gaming accounts and attached bank cards of people in the period from June 24, 2021 to November 15, 2022.
Then, M.A. transferred the stolen money in the form of withdrawals or gambling losses to gaming and electronic wallet accounts registered in the names of other people on various websites and actually managed by him, getting the opportunity to manage them. In addition, M.A., in order to hide the source of origin and true nature of the money obtained through criminal means, used elaborate criminal actions to transfer a number of people from accounts managed by him to other accounts. laundered money by placing bets and withdrawals by showing the amount generated in the account as a win resulting from a bet.
A public criminal prosecution was initiated against M.A. under Article 257, Part 2, Clause 3 (large-scale computer theft) and Article 296, Part 1 (money laundering) of the Criminal Code. The criminal proceedings were sent with an indictment to the supervising prosecutor, with a request to confirm it and send it to the court for examination on the merits.
