Moscow discussed the supply of tomatoes with Yerevan and Baku

The head of Rosselkhoznadzor Sergei Dankvert held negotiations with colleagues from Azerbaijan and Armenia. The Russian department has banned the import of tomatoes and apples from Azerbaijan into Russia since December 10. The reason was said to be the supply of products with pests: the South American tomato moth and the oriental codling moth. In turn, from December 14, the import of tomatoes and peppers from the Armavir region of Armenia into the Russian Federation is prohibited. This measure was introduced after the discovery of products containing the pepino mosaic virus.
