94 people were killed as a result of Israeli strikes

Palestinian health authorities reported that 94 people, including women and children, were killed as a result of Israeli strikes on the Beit Lahia settlement in the north of the Gaza Strip. Dozens of people are injured. According to "Armenpress", the Palestinian WAFA agency informs about it. It is noted that a 5-story apartment building was bombed, where 150 people displaced from other regions of the enclave took refuge.

Dozens of people are still trapped in the rubble, according to health authorities, while civil defense forces and ambulance crews are unable to reach them because of debris piled up on the roads. The north of the Gaza Strip, particularly Jabalia and Beit Lahia, has been under siege for 25 days. According to the WAFA agency, the supply of food, water, fuel and medicine to the given sector was blocked during this period.

The situation in the Middle East sharply worsened after the infiltration of the militants of the radical Palestinian Hamas movement from the Gaza Strip into Israel on October 7, 2023, as a result of which 1,200 people were killed in Israel and about 250 people were captured. About 100 hostages remain with Hamas. As a result of Israel's retaliatory military operations, the number of victims in the Palestinian enclave has exceeded 43,000.
