About a year ago, Yerkir.am reported how 3 large concrete flower pots were lined up and illegally closed to traffic on the 10th street of Yerevan's Davtashen administrative district during the day. As a result, cars going from Davtashen bridge to the 16th district and Ashtarak highway have to go down one intersection and go up again, the same in the opposite direction.
We wrote to the mayor asking if he is aware of the said illegality. The answer suggested that the street had been opened. However, a short time later, the crime was repeated.
We turned to the mayor again, this time the head of the Davtashen administrative district informed us in the last reply letter that the concrete vases keeping the street closed were removed from the street by a truck this time. We have also been provided with photos to prove this. Days later, however, the resident or residents had closed the street again with new concrete flower pots.
We appealed to the mayor again, and in 2025 In the reply letter received on May 12, we were informed that 3 vases were removed from the area by the staff of the head of Davtashen administrative district and the public order protection service. The other day, however, we documented that after that the illegality was restored again with new concrete flower pots. the street is closed to traffic.
We appeal to the mayor again (also with a written request): is he going to remove the flower pots for the 4th time and open the street, and when will this tragicomedy end, have those who don't care about the law been fined?
