Iraq has filed a complaint with the United Nations regarding Israel's violation of its airspace

Iraq has sent an official note of protest to the UN Secretary General and the UN Security Council regarding the violation of its airspace by Israeli planes while attacking Iran.

According to "Armenpress", the Iraqi INA news agency reports this, citing the government spokesman: "Iraq has officially sent a note of protest to the UN Secretary General and the UN Security Council, condemning the violation of Iraqi airspace and sovereignty by the Zionist organization. the gross violation committed against, during which the airspace of Iraq was used when carrying out an attack against the Islamic Republic of Iran on October 26", the publication states.

In an official statement released by Iraqi government spokesman Basim Alawadi, it is stated that Iraq does not allow its airspace or territory to be used to attack other countries, especially if they are neighboring countries with which Iraq has relations based on mutual respect and interests. Mohammed Shia al-Sudani instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to contact the US side regarding this violation to protect and preserve the security and sovereignty of Iraq in accordance with the terms of the Strategic Framework Agreement on US Commitments.

Earlier, the Jordanian military command stated that its airspace was not used by Israeli planes to attack Iran. On the night of October 26, Israel carried out a series of airstrikes on Iranian military facilities in response to Tehran's missile attacks on Israel on October 1.

Hours after the attack, Israel announced that it had ended the strikes and achieved its goals. It was reported in Iran that the provinces of Ilam, Khuzestan and Tehran were hit, but the strikes were successfully repelled. As a result of the attack, 4 Iranian soldiers were killed.
