The Israel Defense Forces carried out airstrikes on missile production facilities in Iran

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has announced an attack on targets in Iran.

"The Israel Defense Forces recently completed precise and targeted strikes against military facilities in several regions of Iran," the press service of the army said in a statement.

According to the document, the Israeli planes "returned home safely".
"The strike was carried out in response to attacks by the Iranian regime on the state of Israel and its residents in recent months. The retaliatory strike has ended, the mission has been accomplished," the message reads.

"According to intelligence, Air Force aircraft have struck production facilities used to produce missiles that Iran has fired at the State of Israel over the past year," the document said.

It is noted that those "rockets posed a direct and immediate danger" to Israeli citizens.

The statement also mentions that the Israel Defense Forces carried out attacks on the deployment of "surface-to-air" missiles.
"The State of Israel reserves the right to protect its citizens if the Iranian regime continues its attacks."

The Israeli army assesses the situation and is ready to carry out defensive and offensive operations.
