8 million dollars were wasted on the satellite that went into space. "Publication"

"Hraparak" newspaper wrote: Minister of high-tech industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan made sensational revelations at the meeting of the party's Initiative group held on Thursday in the absence of Nikol Pashinyan. Although it was officially reported that "the works and reforms carried out by the RA Ministry of High-Tech Industry were discussed", and Mkhitar Hayrapetyan made a report and answered the questions of the participants of the session, we learned from the CP team that Hayrapetyan spoke more about failures, but not or during his leadership, but during the tenure of his predecessor, Robert Khachatryan. He expressed deep indignation especially with the plan to send an Armenian satellite into space, saying that it was a complete failure, and no more than 8 million drams were wasted for it. as a result of which the satellite released into space not only did not serve its purpose, but also became a cause of headache. He said that although the satellite is still in space, at an altitude of about 35 thousand kilometers above the earth's surface, he also informed that it will fall in about two months, and they are developing a new project that will cost about 50 million.

He presented the scandal with such indignation and detail that Hakob Arshakyan, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly present at the session, intervened whether it is worth talking about that topic in the extended format session. Let's remind that in addition to CP deputies and members of the executive, the meetings of the Initiative Group are also attended by CP local government representatives, rank-and-file members, and Nikol Pashinyan's government, which once did not keep any secrets from the public, now keeps everything a secret even from the members of his own party, who there are only a few thousand people throughout the republic. Mkhitar Hayrapetyan countered that it is not possible to keep it secret, because there is also a criminal case. Let us remind that the first Armenian satellite was launched into space on May 25, 2022, which was announced by Prime Minister Pashinyan, presenting it as an epoch-making achievement by his government. "The photos taken by the satellite will be used in Armenia for border control, prevention and management of emergency situations, environmental protection, including climate change monitoring, urban planning, road construction, geology and other fields." But as in all other issues, the government failed in this matter. And it is remarkable that one of the main people responsible for the failure moved to a new position just two days ago, while in normal countries he would have been accused. We are talking about former BTA Deputy Minister Avet Poghosyan, whom the parliament elected as a member of the Television and Radio Commission two days ago, even though many people in the team knew about the scandalous history with which Avet Poghosyan left the position of Deputy Minister. There were even many media reports about that, that the reason for Poghosyan's dismissal is the failure of work in the field, he is the one who coordinated the plan to send the satellite into space. Shortly after Armsat-1 was sent into space, the problems began, the satellites sent into space became a plague on the satellites of other countries, disrupting the operation of many countries' satellites or part of their programs. This is the reason why Poghosyan was removed from the post of deputy minister in July of this year. And the RAH, according to everything, has become a structure for paying pensions with high salaries to people who have rendered some services to the government, to Pashinyan, where people of various types and professions, but who have no appeals to television and radio, are staying. It is noteworthy that for several days in the parliament In response to the question of one of the opposition MPs, Poghosyan, who passed the "examination" of the RA member before, assured that there is no problem related to the satellites raised into space. "At this moment, I can say that these operations are happening a little faster than the schedule, the testing has a more positive development than we expected," he said. Mkhitar Hayrapetyan considered the $500 million order received from the Ministry of Defense to be an achievement for the sector. for, he said that the development of programs for this purpose is in progress. In other words, weapons of such amount will be produced in Armenia by the system of the Ministry of Defense and Security or by order.
