The USA calls on Azerbaijan to release all those unjustly arrested

The United States of America calls on Azerbaijan to adhere to its international human rights obligations and release all those unjustly detained. According to the report of "Armenpress", the US Embassy in Azerbaijan spread a message about this on its "X" page, publishing the photo of the meeting between US Ambassador Mark Libby and political prisoner Gubad Ibadoglu.

"Ambassador Mark Libby met with Dr. Gubad Ibadoglu today and expressed concern about his health. The United States calls on Azerbaijan to adhere to its international obligations in the field of human rights, to lift restrictions on Dr. Ibadoglu, and to release all those unjustly arrested," the US Embassy said in a statement.

Later, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan issued a statement stating that the US does not have the right to use human rights issues as a tool to interfere in another country's internal affairs, investigative processes, or the independence of the judicial system.
