“I believe in diplomacy, in dialogue, in building bridges,” the foreign minister said in an interview with 24 Horas TV channel. “I am not a supporter of severing relations with Israel.” He also noted that the left-wing party Podemos does not raise the issue of severing relations with Russia due to the situation in Ukraine. “And I think this is right,” Albarez emphasized. “When peace comes, Russia will still have a border with Europe.” “If everyone acted the way Spain acts, the war [in the Middle East] would end today,” the minister believes. According to him, Madrid alone cannot stop this conflict, but is doing everything in its power. Previously, the Podemos party conditioned its support for the Spanish government on the severance of relations with Israel.
