Iran has prepared several options to respond to Israel's strike. NYT:

Iran's response to a possible strike by Israel will depend on its seriousness, The New York Times reports, citing informed sources.

According to four Iranian officials, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has ordered the military to develop many military plans to respond to Israel's attack. Interviewees of the publication noted that the scale of Iran's response will largely depend on the severity of Israeli attacks.

Thus, if Israel limits its attacks to a few military bases and warehouses that house missiles and drones, Iran may not take any action, the sources said. But if an Israeli strike causes significant damage and causes many casualties, Iran will retaliate. :

Tehran will also retaliate if Israel strikes oil and energy infrastructure or nuclear facilities, and if it kills senior officials.

On October 23, Iran's President Massoud Pezeshkian announced at the BRICS summit in Kazan that he was seeking peace in the Middle East, but stressed that any Israeli action against Iran would lead to a "decisive and unimaginable response."
