Yerevan and Baku will be able to activate border demarcation after the ratification of the regulations. Pashinyan

Armenia and Azerbaijan will be able to activate the border demarcation process after the ratification of the regulations of the commissions. This was announced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, speaking at the "BRICS+" format meeting in Kazan.

"Yesterday, the Parliament of the Republic of Armenia ratified the regulation of the joint activity of the Committee on State Border Demarcation and Border Security Issues between the Republic of Armenia and Azerbaijan and the State Commission on State Border Demarcation.

"After the entry into force of this document in both countries, we will be able to activate the process of demarcation of the state border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, based on the basic principles and the 1991 Alma-Ata declaration," he noted.

Pashinyan also added that "the decision of the Constitutional Court of Armenia regarding this legal document finally dispelled all concerns and removed all arguments regarding the existence of alleged territorial claims to neighboring countries in the Constitution of Armenia and stated that such interpretations are groundless and illegitimate."
