The European Union took note of the declaration of the BRICS summit, which is taking place in Kazan, but does not believe that the condemnation of unilateral sanctions and the call for their elimination concerns the community. Peter Stano, the representative of the EU foreign service, announced this at the press conference held in Brussels.
"We took note of the declaration of the BRICS summit in Kazan," he said.
According to Stano, the EU did not personally accept BRICS's condemnation of unilateral sanctions and the call for their elimination.
"We do not see ourselves as the recipient of those expressions," he added, asserting that the EU justly imposed sanctions on several BRICS member countries.
