The congressman suggested that the United States consider the possibility of military action against the DPRK

Chairman of the Select Committee on Intelligence of the US House of Representatives Mike Turner (Republican from Ohio) suggested that the Washington administration consider the possibility of direct military action against North Korean forces if they appear on Ukrainian territory.
As the US legislator said in a written statement released on Wednesday, "the administration of US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris must make clear that the entry of North Korean forces into this conflict is a red line for the United States."
“If North Korean forces invade the sovereign territory of Ukraine, the United States should seriously consider the possibility of direct military action against North Korean forces,” the legislator writes.
US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin earlier on Wednesday, speaking in Rome with journalists accompanying him on a foreign trip, outlined a version according to which North Korean military personnel are in Russia. On October 22, the South Korean news agency Yonhap reported that the DPRK Permanent Mission to the UN called allegations of sending Korean People's Army (KPA) troops to Russia unfounded rumors. Thus, an employee of the permanent mission responded to accusations from the Ukrainian delegation that Pyongyang was allegedly planning to send military personnel to Russia.
On October 10, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said that press allegations about the participation of KPA troops in a special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine resemble another newspaper duck. On October 19, Austin stated that he was unable to confirm the Ukrainian versions about the presence of North Korean troops in the area of the North Military District.
The French newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche wrote over the weekend that rumors about sending military personnel from the DPRK to the Russian Federation are implausible and only beneficial to Kyiv, since it is only in its interests to internationalize the conflict.
