It is known why Hamas does not want to publish the name of its new leader

The radical Palestinian movement Hamas does not intend to publish the name of its future leader. This is reported by the BBC, referring to the anonymous representative of the movement.

It is noted that Hamas will most likely not publicly announce the identity of its new leader due to security reasons. Until the election of the leader, which will take place in March next year, the movement will be led by a five-member committee.

It was reported earlier that Hamas does not plan to appoint a successor to Yahya Sinwar, the head of the Politburo, who was neutralized by Israel, before the March 2025 internal elections.

Sinwar's alleged successors include Mohammed Derwish, Khalil al Hayya, Mohammed Nazal and Khaled Meshal.
