US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken arrived in Israel on October 22. He plans to discuss the situation in the Gaza Strip, "Yeruslam" newspaper reports. The head of the US State Department is expected to hold talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant and other officials.

The newspaper believes that the visit of the Secretary of State of the United States aims to "give a new impulse to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip".

Blinken will talk about the importance of additional supplies of food, medicine and other humanitarian aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip, and will discuss the release of hostages, the Jerusalem Post reports.
