Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the creation of an interdepartmental commission for the formation, preservation and use of collections of genetic resources of microorganisms. The corresponding document was published on Monday.
"In order to ensure the coordination of the activities of the National Center for Genetic Resources of Microorganisms, I decide to form an interdepartmental commission for the formation, preservation and use of collections of genetic resources of microorganisms," the president's decree says.
Putin also approved the regulations of the interdepartmental commission and its composition. Its president was Mikhail Kovalchuk, the president of the Kurchatov Institute National Research Center.
