The White House has confirmed the intention to impose new sanctions against Russia

US President Donald Trump has announced again that it plans to impose sanctions against Russia if there is no progress in the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.

In an interview with Newsmax, he said that in telephone conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, "this war must end," that it is a "terrible war."

"I thought we agreed with this three times in a row," Trump said.

He said that if the conflict continues, "we will impose sanctions, and he is subject to sanctions, he knows how to circumvent them."

Earlier, the head of the White House was the deadline for signing the agreement on August 8.
