The producer explained why Russian stars cannot succeed in Hollywood

Film producer Arthur Astvatsatryan (“Breakaway”) explained why many Russian stars cannot succeed in Hollywood. He is quoted by Evening Moscow.

First of all, he believes, Russian actors lack English, and this prevents active interaction with Western audiences.

“And there are cases when an actor can be completely excluded from the project and suspended from filming due to insufficient knowledge of the language. For successful career growth in Hollywood, it is necessary to take into account not only language characteristics, but also the local mentality and cultural trends,” said the producer, who has been living in the United States for the last few years.

According to Astvatsatryan, it is difficult for actors, especially older ones, to start from scratch, despite their filmography, the number of roles in the theater and the loss of recognition on the streets.

“In order to become truly popular and loved by local audiences, it is often necessary to be part of a given culture from the very beginning. “Born and raised in the United States gives an artist an advantage in understanding the needs and preferences of the audience, which helps to succeed in Hollywood,” the producer said.

Before moving to Hollywood, he urged actors to soberly weigh all the risks and determine their real capabilities in the conditions of Hollywood competition.

The day before, actor Askar Ilyasov spoke about his Hollywood plans.

Earlier, actress Marusya Klimova spoke about the consequences of the Blinovskaya marathon.
