AI driven drones unveiled in Japan

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) has introduced two models of slave drones with support for artificial intelligence (AI). This was reported by Army Recognition.
“MHI representatives confirmed that the first test flights of combat support unmanned aerial vehicles equipped with artificial intelligence will be carried out in 2025 under a contract with the Japanese procurement, technology and logistics agency,” the material says.
The drones were presented during the International Aerospace Exhibition in Japan. The ARMDC-20X model is approximately six meters long. Its main purpose will be reconnaissance.
The second drone model has not yet been named. Its length will be 10 meters. At the same time, the drone will be able to be used for air combat and interception of targets.

A few hours earlier, the business newspaper Nikkei reported that the manufacturer of industrial drones Prodrone from the Japanese city of Nagoya plans to supply drones to Ukraine that will be used for mine clearance. These devices are capable of moving above the surface of the earth at a height of about 50 centimeters.
