Federal Judges of New Mexico have begun to reject the allegations that have been filed against migrants to enter a new US militarized border zone. Judges believe that there are no sufficient evidence that immigrants were aware of the special status of the area.
Since April, 400 immigrants have been accused of entering the military zone, including the 60-foot width. However, the courts have already rejected 120 cases, emphasizing that warning signs on the border do not guarantee real awareness.
The accusations are derived from a new border policy by the President, which aims to strengthen migration control with military support. However, human rights activists claim that without a conscious violation, these accusations are illegal and discriminatory, according to Apnews.
