At the BRICS summit to be held in Kazan, Russia will propose initiatives outlined within the framework of its presidency in the association, said Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian president.

"We are talking about the priorities that are outlined within the framework of the presidency of the Russian Federation in BRICS. Those priorities are well known to everyone. They were formulated many times both during the international departmental events held within the framework of this presidency, and literally a week ago, in the briefing of my colleague (assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Yuri) Ushakov. This is where the priorities of the Russian presidency should be followed," Peskov said, answering the question of what large-scale initiatives Russia will propose at the BRICS summit in Kazan.

He noted that the initiatives will refer to humanitarian, economic, financial, parliamentary and other directions of work.
