More than 12,000 people with various diseases need to be urgently evacuated from the Gaza Strip for treatment. This was informed by the representation of the United Nations Department for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the occupied Palestinian territories.

"12,000 medical patients have accumulated and are waiting for emergency medical evacuation from the borders of the Gaza Strip," the document says.

As mentioned in the document, many of them need surgical intervention, which is impossible to perform in Gaza due to the complexity or lack of equipment and medicines. The forced presence of these patients in hospitals creates an additional load for already overburdened medical institutions.
