The Prime Minister of Georgia has promised to depose President Zurabishvili

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has announced the imminent impeachment of President Salome Zurabishvili, who, violating the constitution, is actively negotiating with the opposition to create a "technical government" after the October 26 parliamentary elections, VZGLYAD newspaper reports.

"In one month, we will technically depose the president through impeachment," he said.

Before the elections, the ruling "Georgian Dream" will submit a lawsuit to the Constitutional Court against the president for foreign visits not agreed with the government, which is a violation of the basic law. Last year, the attempt to send Salome Zurabishvili failed. 100 out of 150 mandates were needed for that.

The ruling party claims that it will receive at least 60 percent of the votes on October 26, which is approximately 106 seats. Zurabishvili can be impeached in late November-early December.
