The president of Kyrgyzstan announced the impossibility of giving up cooperation with Russia

Kyrgyzstan cannot refuse cooperation with the Russian Federation, despite the requests of Western countries. This was announced by the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadir Zhaparov, in an interview with the Kyrgyz state Kabar agency.

According to him, there are Western countries that ask Kyrgyzstan not to cooperate with the Russian Federation, but Bishkek always tells them that it is impossible, Zhaparov admitted.

The president clarified that Kyrgyzstan buys oil, gas, wheat and food products from Russia. In addition, many roads and railways of the republic pass through the Russian Federation. And there are about one million Kyrgyz labor migrants in the regions of Russia.

Zhaparov scolded the West for an "unfair demand", as some EU countries, despite the sanctions, continue to cooperate with Russia, and their trade with that country reaches 6 billion dollars a year.

The politician also added that since coming to power four years ago, Kyrgyzstan has been pursuing a multi-vector foreign policy, cooperating equally and on an equal basis with different countries of the world based on mutual interests.
