Negotiations between Mishustin and the Prime Minister of China began in Pakistan

Negotiations between Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin and Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Qiang began in the capital of Pakistan, Islamabad, a RIA Novosti correspondent reports.

The head of the Russian government works in Islamabad on October 15-16. On Wednesday, the Russian Prime Minister will take part in a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

Also expected to attend are the prime ministers of Belarus, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as the first vice president of Iran and the high representative of India.

Participants will consider priority tasks to deepen SCO trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation. In particular, politicians will discuss the development of trade and economic cooperation in the context of a comprehensive modernization of the SCO's activities in accordance with new geopolitical realities. Coordinated approaches to solving SCO problems in the global economy will be recorded in the final Joint Communiqué. Also, the heads of government will approve the budget, the staffing schedules of the secretariat and the executive committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorism Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (RATS SCO), updated taking into account the reception of Belarus, and a protocol on amendments to the agreement on the procedure for the formation and execution of the SCO budget of December 1, 2017.
