Trump refused to confirm rumors about a call to Putin

Former US President and candidate for the post of head of state from the Republican Party, Donald Trump, refused to confirm rumors circulating in the US about his alleged telephone conversations after leaving the post of head of the White House with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“If I did it, it was smart. If I’m friendly with people, maintain relationships with them, then that’s good, not bad,” he told Bloomberg in an interview at the Economic Club of Chicago.

As an argument in favor of dialogue between the two countries, Trump recalled that Russia is a nuclear power, like the United States.

Earlier, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov denied reports that Putin and Trump allegedly called seven times after the latter left the post of US President.
