Political scientist Suren Surenyants wrote on his Facebook page:
"I think that the noise of Azerbaijan in recent days, about the EU observation mission located in Armenia, is pursuing very specific goals. Even if Baku cannot achieve the cancellation of the mission's mandate, I consider it quite possible that it will be able to ensure Turkey's "presence" in Armenia. EU the deployment documents of the observation mission consider it possible to involve representatives of non-EU countries.
Canada's "presence" set the precedent for that."
