Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that he welcomes any program and action that will contribute to the development of relations between Iran and Azerbaijan, IRNA reports.
"We welcome the creation of railway and road routes between the two countries, and we also want to continue and expand cooperation in the fields of energy and agriculture," he said.
During the meeting, Pezeshkian emphasized that Iran believes that the sovereignty of any country cannot be ignored, adding that the presence of foreigners is not beneficial to the countries of this region. He emphasized that the states of the region will be able to solve their problems by working together. The president of Iran also commented on the execution of the court's verdict against the person who attacked the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran.
"Regarding the trial of the person who attacked the Azerbaijani embassy, we will monitor this issue until the legal processes are fully completed," he noted.
