IDF Chief of Staff visits base where four soldiers were killed in the attack

The Chief of the General Staff of the Israeli Army, Herzi Halevi, personally visited a military base near the village of Binyamin in northern Israel, where on the evening of October 13, four soldiers were killed due to a drone attack launched from Lebanon.
He spoke with commanders and doctors and held an operations meeting to discuss the circumstances of the attack. “We are at war, and an attack on a training base in the rear is difficult, and the results are painful. You acted well in helping the wounded and injured and evacuating them.

We continue to act and train, preparing for the future,” the military leader said, as quoted by the army press service. On the evening of October 13, the army reported that its base near Binyamina, where Golani brigade soldiers were training, was attacked by a drone launched from Lebanon armed forces of the Shiite organization Hezbollah.

At the moment, the army has officially confirmed the death of four soldiers - all of them privates from the Golani brigade. Seven more soldiers were seriously injured. In turn, the Israeli ambulance service Magen David Adom (Red Shield of David) previously reported that a total of 61 wounded were hospitalized after the incident near Binyamina.
