The presidents of Iran and France discussed ways to establish a ceasefire in Lebanon

Presidents of Iran and France Masoud Pezeshkian and Emmanuel Macron had a telephone conversation during which they discussed ways to achieve a ceasefire in Lebanon. This is reported by the Mehr agency.

"We have always sought to create a safe region away from war and unrest and welcomed a ceasefire, while these Zionists have shown that they do not pay attention to humanitarian frameworks and international laws and are intensifying their crimes," the Iranian president said.

"We call on France to join the efforts of other European countries to force the Zionist regime to stop the genocide and crimes in Gaza and Lebanon.

We positively evaluate the recent position of the French government, which condemns the actions of the Zionist regime in Lebanon and calls for an end to the supply of arms to this regime," he noted.
