Evacuation of the bodies of climbers killed in Nepal is possible no earlier than October 16

Difficult weather conditions do not yet allow the evacuation of the bodies of the dead Russian climbers from Mount Dhaulagiri in Nepal; the weather is expected to improve in the middle of the week, the Russian Embassy told RIA Novosti. "A helicopter flight to evacuate the bodies of our climbers from Dhaulagiri is impossible today due to very strong winds, the preliminary date when the weather will be favorable for such a flight is October 16,” the embassy said.

The sports and tourism club of travelers "Penza", of which one of the victims was a member, notes on its page on the social network "VKontakte" that three Russian climbers Vladimir Kotlyar, Denis Aleksenko and Artem Tsentsevitsky remain in Kathmandu to participate in the procedure for evacuation of bodies. "The situation on Dhaulagiri. The Nepalese travel agency that helped organize the expedition stated that the weather will be unflyable in the coming days," the message says.
