Iranian General: Countries Opposing Tehran Are Doomed to Defeat

Abolfazl Shekarchi, a representative of Iran's armed forces, announced the failure of the American policy of pressure against Tehran and predicted the destruction of states opposing the Islamic Republic, reports Mehr.

According to him, the political and electoral failures of the Trump administration and its allies testify to Washington's inability to break Iran's will.

"They indicate a deeper reality: the United States has failed to break Iran's will," stated Brigadier General Shekarchi.

In his view, American strategies of aggression, targeted assassinations, and maximum pressure, as well as military measures against Tehran, have failed to overcome Iran's deterrent potential and the determination of its leadership, people, and armed forces.

Shekarchi emphasized that any power opposing the Islamic Republic, its resilience, and determination is doomed to defeat and to losing influence in the eyes of the international community.

The Iranian armed forces representative also stated that the hostile policy of the U.S. against Tehran, failures of Washington on the international stage, especially in West Asia, weakening of military authority, and failure of threats have undermined the position of the American administration.

"Trump and his reckless, harsh, and terroristic-minded allies intended to destroy a proud, ancient nation, but the situation changed in the opposite direction. Now they themselves have become the victims of strategic exhaustion, deep internal crises, and defeats inflicted by the Iranian armed forces and the Resistance front," the general declared.

According to Shekarchi, the ongoing events indicate that the global balance of power is not always formed in favor of states striving for global dominance.
