Putin: Russia and Iran often agree on assessments of international events

Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Ashgabat, said that Moscow and Tehran often agree on their assessment of international events. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

“Our assessments of current events in the world are often very close,” the head of state said. He also noted that Russia and Iran are actively working together in the international arena. On the night of October 11, Putin arrived on a working visit to Turkmenistan. The Russian President spoke at the forum “The relationship of times and civilizations - the basis of peace and development” in Ashgabat. The forum is dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi.

Putin arrived at the site in a Russian Aurus car, where he was met by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
