The "Fact" daily writes: Meanwhile in Armenia is preparing for the peace agenda, Azerbaijan uses every issue to put pressure on Armenia. And Baku is not interested in international law, neither universal values nor human rights.
In December 2023, Armenia refused to submit COP 29 conference, giving it to Azerbaijan. And as a result of that and a number of other concessions, 32 Armenian captives returned from Azerbaijan to Armenia. After that, it seemed that Azerbaijan would have to hand over the captives on the eve of COP 29, but Baku did not only not surrender to the captives, but also charges against Armenia during the conference. In fact, the Azerbaijani side was able to make the most of the COP 29 conference on the expense of Armenian captives to take steps to raise its image, on the other hand to conclude new gas deals at the scenes of the summit. Despite some countries and officials, the Cop 29, however, allowed Baku to touch the international community. Recently, Azerbaijani media outlets videos and publications in which the naked eye is seen that the representatives of the Artsakh military-political leadership are being tortured and distorted. And the purpose of torture is very clear, the testimonials to use them to use them later to use Armenia. Instead of the representatives of the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan, the Azeri authorities actually played for the cruelty of the prisoners today. Moreover, one day the topics of cruel treatment and torture against Armenian prisoners will also be increased to Armenia, then our country should work with its international partners to populate the events related to Baku's judiciary. Of course, the RA MFA finally made a statement on this occasion, noting that they will continue to raise the subject of captals in different platforms and formats. On the other hand, the Armenian authorities say they are doing daily work, but they do not speak out on the principle of "not damaging". We cannot claim the opposite because they do not have the appropriate information. Maybe it's so. However, the point is that at least the international platforms, where Armenian officials are participating, must raise these issues. On the other hand, the silence of the international community is amazing, and more precisely, inaction. For example, EU Ambassador to Armenia Vasilis Maragos notes that the European Union has clearly said that they expect a fair trial. But the implementation of the captives is already the result of the EU representative in general. In fact, it is an artificial show and the torture of session. The American side also spreads a comment on every human rights case, but a stone is silence on captives. Don't they see what happens in Azerbaijan? Or is the principle of multiple standards working again?
