Control of slaughterhouse activities will be tightened. the project was discussed in the National Assembly

With the adoption of the projects, the control aimed at regulating slaughterhouse activities will be tightened. In the case of detection of violations, the official carrying out state control will have a legal basis to suspend or stop the slaughterhouse activity in case of inspections. Also, authorizing norms are defined so that in the preamble of the newly developed sub-legislative normative legal acts it is possible to define the authorizing norms that authorize the Government to adopt the relevant legal acts.

The NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environmental Protection discussed the legislative package "On making amendments and additions to the Law on "Veterinary Medicine" and "On making additions to the Code of the Republic of Armenia on Administrative Offenses" in the second reading.

According to RA Deputy Minister of Economy Tatevik Sargsyan, after the first reading, the package was revised, additions and editorial works aimed at ensuring legal certainty were made.

The legislative package received a positive conclusion. It was discussed by the committee at the May 13 meeting.
