Czech President Petr Pavel said at the Munich Security Summit that the international community should develop the analog of Marshal's plan for Ukraine, which is a US program to provide foreign assistance to the post-war Europe, Gazeta.ru reports.
Marshall plan was a number of measures to help Europe after World War II. It was named by honor of Secretary of State George Marshall, who offered the program in 1947.
Within the framework of the program, 16 European countries ruined during the war were given $ 13.3 billion (equivalent to about $ 150 billion at today's exchange rate).
Pavel added that Ukraine must guarantee the "gradual" membership in the European Union.
He believes that his proposed funds will help the country achieve a higher quality of life than in Russia.
