Over the past two years, 6 billion 300 million drams have been invested in the modernization and re-equipment of the Yerevan Metro.
The Municipality reports that 260 million drams were spent on the overhaul of the escalators at the “Republic Square” station.
The escalators at the “Factory” station have been completely replaced, for which 204 million drams have been allocated. The replacement of the escalators at the “Sasuntsi Davit” station is still underway, the investment is 114 million drams.
Next is the process of replacing the escalators at the “Zoravar Andranik” station, for which a tender of 504 million drams has been announced. Thus, the Yerevan Metro named after Karen Demirchyan is being modernized in stages, becoming more comfortable for passengers. Details in the video.
