Azerbaijan continues to consistently aggravate relations with Russia. Last week, this country, on the orders of Aliyev, sent another batch of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, which is at war with Russia, and then the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry demanded that Moscow close the information and cultural center of Rossotrudnichestvo in Baku, the Russian House, which the Azerbaijani press compared to the American USAID as a “structure with an obvious intelligence structure.” By the way, the Russian House has already announced the cessation of its activities in Baku. And this week, Azerbaijani media spread information that Azerbaijan had uncovered a group of spies representing Russian interests, which included former high-ranking officials. Some Russian websites assess Azerbaijan’s actions as “Aliyev’s stab in the back at Russia.”
Why the Azerbaijani leadership is worsening its relations with Russia will probably be discussed in the press for a long time. In any case, from Yerevan’s point of view, this issue is of some interest, taking into account the Russian-Azerbaijani the negative impact of rapprochement on Armenian interests.
