The Prime Minister of Slovakia, Roberto Fizo, has announced that Slovakia will not agree to Ukraine's membership in NATO, as long as he holds the position of Prime Minister. "I will order that the deputies over whom I have political control as the party chairman never agree to Ukraine's membership in NATO," he said in an interview with STVR.
Slovakia's prime minister has said that he is not against Ukraine's membership of the EU, but that its membership of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization "will only be good as a basis for the third world war".
According to Fitzo, the war in Ukraine continues only because it is "supported by the West" in order to "bring the Russians to their knees".
