The EU condemned the actions against protesters in Georgia

The EU strongly condemned the funds taken by the Georgian authorities towards the participants of anti-government protests.

"The cruel actions of peaceful protesters, journalists and politicians, which took place in Tbilisi in Tbilisi, are unacceptable," Kaya Karas, a high representative of EU foreign affairs and security policy wrote.

According to him, Georgia, as a candidate for EU membership, is currently not justified by Brussels's expectations. "The EU supports the Georgian people in the struggle for freedom and democracy," Kalas added.
