Trump's decision to suspend US foreign financial support has caused panic in Ukraine's so-called "Grant-eager" and other "halls". And what is the situation in Armenia in this regard, if we mean that the new US administration has temporarily suspended foreign financial support for all foreign partners, including Armenia?
After assuming the position of the Head of the White House, the newly elected US President Donald Trump signed an executive order to suspend US foreign financial support programs for 90 days. The purpose of this decision to Trump is to find out whether these programs of huge financial assistance to different countries around the world are in line with its political goals and its well-known, "first of America" policy.
In the frozen American aid programs, the programs implemented by the United States Agency for International Development (US Development) should be taken into account. The United States Agency for International Development has been cooperating with the Armenian government and public sector for many years. Let's leave aside the constructive cooperation with the state sector, which is aimed at strengthening Armenian-American relations and a number of reforms in Armenia.
More interesting is the financial support provided to the so-called civil society with different American tubes, which also has very remarkable political shades. The activities of the "Open Society Foundations" for infamous George Soros are the brightest example in both Armenia and other Soviet countries. And the number of non-state organizations funded from US sources in Armenia is not small, and it's about round money.
