Judge Suren Antonyan's case in the case of the ECtHR notes the fact of encroachment on the independence of the judiciary in Armenia. David Harutyunyan

The European Court recorded in its judgment in the "Suren Antonyan vs. Armenia" case that Karen Andreasyan, the President of the Central Court of Justice, was biased when considering the petition regarding Judge Suren Antonyan, as a result of which the judge was removed from the judicial system.

According to Davit Harutyunyan, judge of the Yerevan General Jurisdiction Criminal Court, whose powers have been suspended, the ECHR confirmed that "yogurt is not black".

This decision is also the first assessment of the activity of the SC, which records the fact of encroachment on the independence of the judiciary.

Thank you to Judge Suren Antonyan, his lawyers Emil Amirkhanyan and Arman Zrvandyan for contributing to this important decision to restore justice with their efforts," Harutyunyan wrote on his Facebook page.
