"Zhoghovurd" daily writes:
"Sarik Minasyan, who was appointed as the MP of the mayor of Gyumri, who will lead the CP list during the municipal elections to be held in March, has not yet started the official campaign, he has already started the actual campaign.
His official Facebook page is flooded with self-promotional posts.
"Zhoghovurd" daily newspaper noticed that the candidate for the newly elected KP community head distributes gifts to citizens, meets with residents, young people and representatives of various fields and advertises his activities on a daily basis.
Thus, it is obvious that the elections of the mayor of the community to be held in March will proceed on unequal terms.
While the KP candidate started his campaign months before the elections and shows his work to the public, the other candidates do not have such an opportunity.
"1. The period of pre-election campaigning is the period defined by this Code, during which the rules defined by this Code for using public resources, campaigning and ensuring financial transparency are in place to provide equal opportunities to the parties and candidates participating in the elections.
The period of pre-election campaigning begins on the 7th day following the last day of the deadline set by this Code for registration of electoral lists and candidates of the parties participating in the elections and ends one day before the voting day.
During that period, the campaign is called pre-election campaign below." In this case, however, the demands related to equality and time are actually violated.
"Zhoghovurd" daily turned to the CEC to find out:∙ how do they treat the actual case of lawlessness in this state institution?∙
Why were these violations not recorded, why does the CEC headed by Vahagn Hovakimyan, one of the founders of CP, not issue a statement regarding this?
They requested a written request from the CEC, which we have sent and will publish it as soon as we receive the answer."
