A draft decision has been published on the "e-draft" legal acts website of the Government of Armenia, according to which the compensation for the deposits of the former USSR Savings Bank in the Republican Bank of the ASSR until June 10, 1993 will continue in 2025.
According to the draft, in 2025, compensation will be provided to persons born before December 31, 1942, as well as persons registered in border communities and other social groups, whose inclusion is defined by the government.
The adoption of the project will ensure the normal continuity of the deposit compensation process, as defined by the 2025 draft law on the state budget. Special attention has been paid to the people who are under different social orders, taking into account their needs and rights. The decision will enter into force on January 1, 2025.
