"Publication". Why did the presidents of the courts leave? The government tries to manage the system

"Hraparak" newspaper writes:

"Presidents of two courts submitted their resignations a few days apart. At the beginning of January, Argishti Ghazaryan, who will continue to serve as a judge, resigned from the position of the President of the Administrative Court, and the day before yesterday, Avag Gabrielyan, the President of the Civil Court of General Jurisdiction of the city of Yerevan, submitted his resignation.

Gabrielyan has been in the judicial system for many years, he has been a judge since 2009. It is said in the system that the resignation of Gabrielyan, an old resident, was neither accidental nor "innocent".

According to the information received by "Hraparak", the authorities put a case of corruption on his table, in which he was also involved. Our source in the judicial system says: Gabrielyan was told to write your application and go, which he did. As for Argishti Ghazaryan's resignation, the issue of "management" of the system was the reason.

Our same source reports that the President of the Administrative Court Ghazaryan was not able to gather the judges "under control", the latter did not obey the orders handed down from above, they did not obey either him or the Supreme Court, and the latter ensures the influence on the judges of the Administrative Court through the President of the Court himself, implementing the instructions of the authorities.

They also offered him to write a voluntary application, to which Ghazaryan agreed, but put forward a condition: he leaves the position of pre-judge, but remains as a judge.

The judicial authority accepted that condition. We contacted Avag Gabrielyan to get a comment on his resignation, he said that he does not want to talk about the reasons. "There is something official, that's all."

As for being involved in a corruption case, he said: "I don't have such information."
