From October 2025, the unified system of payments with QR codes will operate in Armenia.

The Council of the Central Bank of the Republic adopted the relevant norms today.

Currently, payments using QR codes are available in retail trade in Armenia, but each operator (banks or payment systems) uses its own code, with which it is possible to pay only from its application.

At the request of the Central Bank, they will all use one QR code, the Central Bank clarifies that this system will not work when making payments on public transport.
