Russia values its relations with Armenia and intends to further develop those relations, said Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian President, commenting on the statement of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs that Armenia and the USA will sign a document on strategic partnership on January 14.
"We have our bilateral relations with Armenia, we value those relations and intend to develop them in the future," said Peskov. He added that it is Armenia's sovereign right to develop relations with all countries, including the USA. "It is the absolute sovereign right of our Armenian friends.
It is the sovereign right of Armenia to develop relations in all directions," said the press secretary of the Russian President. At the same time, Peskov emphasized that the USA has never played a particularly stabilizing role in the South Caucasus. He also reminded what dividends Armenia reaps from cooperation with Russia, particularly within the framework of integration processes.
Ani Badalyan, spokesperson of the RA Foreign Ministry, said earlier that Armenia and the USA will sign a document on the strategic partnership between the two countries on January 14 in Washington.
