Brave firefighters continue to battle the infernal conditions on the front lines of at least five different blazes, including the homes of Anthony Hopkins, John Goodman, Paris Hilton, Miles Teller and Ben Affleck. Dozens of other stars are now waiting to see if anything can be salvaged.
The home of America's favorite comedian John Goodman is right in the path of the fire, which has already consumed more than 6,000 hectares and is spreading at lightning speed, covering a distance equal to five football fields per minute.
Goodman's home was spared only the backyard pool, filled with dirty, blackened water.Silence of the Lambs star Anthony Hopkins, 87, also lost his only home. There is nothing left of the Oscar-winning actor's property. The only thing left is the charred gate that protects the property. Many trees that once provided Hopkins with "privacy" were completely burned.
