Switzerland has been elected as the chairman of the OSCE 2026. TASS:

The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe has approved Switzerland as the chairman of the OSCE in 2026, TASS reports.

Finland will perform these functions in 2025, according to a message posted on the website of the confederation government.

The text states that Switzerland will take over the leadership of the OSCE "at a time when the organization is experiencing difficult times due to geopolitical events." The government believes that the conflict between the two OSCE participants, Russia and Ukraine, "seriously limits the organization's ability to maneuver."

"By assuming the presidency, Switzerland emphasizes that dialogue and cooperation with all participating countries is extremely important, especially in politically difficult times," the statement said.ОтправленоВводНаписать вAa
