Former NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg was appointed co-chairman of the Bilderberg Group. This is an annual closed forum that brings together influential global politicians and businessmen, writes The Guardian newspaper.
The need to elect a new co-chairman of the club arose in connection with the death of the Dutch economist Victor Halberstad, who occupied this position in September. The organizing committee of the forum held in Stockholm in June 2025 includes 8 more than 30 people.
In particular, the chairman of the board of the Swedish SAAB military-industrial concern Markus Wallenberg, the former head of the British foreign intelligence service MI6 John Sawyers and the American journalist Farid Zakaria.
